Ironwood Pocket Park
Located in the center of Downtown Ironwood on the site of the demolished Seamen's building, the Pocket Park is a relaxing spot for strolling or lunch.  It is a favorite spot for wedding party photos. Click to view garden images.

Ironwood Memorial Building
Money raised through a grant awarded to the city of Ironwood, Range Master Gardener provide the expertise necessary to landscape and plant flowers along the perimeter of a newly constructed  downtown parking lot. This fall nearly a thousand spring bulbs were planted in the landscape so look for a plethora of blooms next spring. Be sure to check back next year to view the results. Downtown Hurley Flower Barrels
The Range Master Gardeners instruct Hurley School 3rd graders in container gardening. A program co-sponsored with the Hurley Chamber of Commerce allows local students how to plant flower boxes which are placed along Silver street, Hurley's main thoroughfare.

Community Garden
In 2000 The Range Master Gardeners in partnership with the MSU Extension and WSU Extension services, the City of Ironwood , GO-CAA, and  a grant received from Michigan FIA's Community Food and Nutrition program, started developing a community garden  for use by the general public. This year the garden produced an abundance of vegetables in spite of the wet cold season. Click to view garden images.

City of Bessemer
The Range Master Gardeners also instruct Bessemer 5th grade students how to plant flower boxes. City employees move the completed flower boxes to  Bessemer's  Sophie street.

Bessemer Washington School
Range Master Gardeners  instruct 4th grade students from Bessemer's Washington School on gardening basics. Students get to sow seeds in early spring. When weather permits they plant the flowers in front of their school building. During summer recess the students volunteer to weed and water their garden. Click to view the photos of this project.

Grand View Hospital
Hospital workers get their clues from Range Master Gardeners in massive  flower planting fronting the local hospital and clinic. RMG members also provided guidance on planning a new meditation garden at the rear of Hospital. Click to see photos.

Norrie School
Fourth Graders at Ironwood's Norrie School receive instructions on plantings seeds in their classroom . With guidance  from Master Gardeners  the seedlings will be transplanted to Norrie Park where visitors will enjoy the great plantings all season long. Click to view the photos of this project.

Highline Corporation
Highline Corporation clients that are physically and mentally challenged  are assisted by the Range Master Gardeners. Range Master Gardeners help clients plant flowers in front of their building and in many pots.  Click to view the photos of this project.
